We look at the growing chances of Bernie Sanders running against Donald Trump in November. Moderate Democrats worry that nominating Mr Sanders would cost them the election. We worry that forcing Americans to decide between him and Mr Trump would have no good outcome. It will surprise nobody that we disagree with a self-described democratic socialist over economics, but that is just the start. Mr Sanders is so convinced he is morally right that he has a dangerous tendency to put ends before means. And, in a country where Mr Trump has whipped up politics into a frenzy of loathing, Mr Sanders’s election would feed the hatred. A corrupt, right-wing populist, who scorns the rule of law and the constitution, and a sanctimonious, left-wing populist, who blames a cabal of billionaires and businesses for everything that is wrong with the world: it is hard to think of a worse choice

1) Trump is a right-wing populist because he the right wing agrees he is right-wing, and because his methods fully coincide with the common today's definition of populism.2) Trums scorns the spirit of the constitution on so many points that it is difficult even to enumerate them. His behavior is best described as that of a would-be Mussolini in a country that is sufficiently well protected against real fascism, but not really protected against an unexpected behavior of a President who does not respect понятия. This, by the way, is an excellent counterexample for those who think that, unlike poor Russia, the US lives according to the law. There is no country in the worlds that does not live according to понятия, and this should be kept in mind when analysing any society.
Moreover, the US Constitution is first of all about понятия. It is called the spirit of the Constitution.

Я не против того, что он популист, я против того что right-wing, а тавтологические свойства аргументы меня не убеждают. Words have meanings.

Спорить о неопределенных материях типа "духа" конституции я пожалуй не буду. Напомню лишь, что Обамины executive orders были многократно отменены ВС, причем не раз со счетом 9:0. Я отлично понимаю какие эмоции вызывает Трамп, и у меня те же самые, но я стараюсь их держать в отдельном отсеке сознания.
